50 years on the road.
Three locations. Five decades. One family.
The Beginning
Ray and Narelle Moody opened the doors on Queen Street, St Marys on 21st July 1975. A small team, a big vision, and an instant connection with local riders. The first brand partnership — Suzuki — begins here, a relationship that continues to this day as one of the longest-standing Suzuki dealerships in Australia.

Room to Grow
Demand outgrows the St Marys shop. Western Motorcycles relocates to larger premises on High Street, Penrith — expanding the showroom, service capacity, and their reputation as the go-to dealer for Greater Western Sydney.
Honda Joins the Family
Western Motorcycles becomes an authorised Honda dealer — a partnership that has since spanned over 30 years and produced multiple Honda State Dealer of the Year awards.
Built for Riders
The Moodys purchase land and construct a purpose-built dealership on Mulgoa Road in October 1998 — where Western Motorcycles stands today. A large showroom, full spares and accessories department, and a fully equipped workshop under one roof.
New Brands, New Riders
Can-Am Spyder and Ryker join the showroom floor in 2010, opening up the three-wheel market to a whole new category of rider. Royal Enfield follows in 2019, bringing classic-inspired motorcycles to a new generation of Sydney enthusiasts.

Half a Century 50 Years
Western Motorcycles celebrates 50 years of serving Sydney riders. Beta Motorcycles joins the lineup to mark the occasion. Many of today's customers are second- and third-generation riders who have grown up with Westerns as part of their family tradition. The Moody family looks forward to the next 50 years.
